The project has reached 57% completion, with a total investment of EGP 2.175 billion.

The Minister praised the progress made on the project, which began in 2023 and is scheduled for completion in early 2026. Covering an area of 7,677 square meters, the hospital complex will include a six-story main building, residential facilities for doctors and nursing staff, as well as supporting service buildings.

Dr. Abdel Ghaffar emphasized his commitment to regular follow-up on construction works to ensure adherence to the timeline, highlighting the hospital’s importance as a cornerstone for strengthening the healthcare system in the New Administrative Capital, capable of meeting the demands of growing population and service needs.

In parallel, the Minister reviewed a detailed report on the ongoing development of the Health Insurance Organization’s clinics, which serve 31 million visitors annually through 375 comprehensive clinics—covering 57% of insured citizens and marking an 11% increase in patient visits. The 2024/2025 development plan includes the establishment of 21 new clinics across 10 governorates, in addition to the completed upgrade of 24 clinics and the ongoing development of 29 others. The development program also covers infrastructure modernization, the provision of advanced medical equipment, and measures to improve operational efficiency, thereby ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

The Minister reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to facilitating access for insured citizens to comprehensive, high-standard medical services. This includes the availability of medicines and supplies, the acceleration of service delivery mechanisms, and the strengthening of partnerships with diverse healthcare providers—all aimed at promoting health equity and addressing community needs in line with the highest standards of quality.
